Join artist Jessie McClanahan for a hands-on, two-day clay workshop exploring the art of ocarina-making. Inspired by Appalachian landscapes and cultural traditions, participants will create small, functional ceramic instruments using handbuilding techniques and finish them with terra sigillata. Alongside clay instruction, Jessie will share insights from her studies in the Andes and discuss the human connection to clay, community, and sound. This workshop is open to ages 12 and up, no experience required. All materials provided.

Sunday: 1:00 - 4:00 PM – Modeling, terra sigillata techniques, finishing touches
